Passive Aggressive Notes

Night after night, bass pounds through my walls. Sometimes there are screams. It was coming from upstairs for a while but that stopped. Now it's coming from next door. And it starts around 10:30 at night.

I thought about knocking on these girls' door, and asking them to turn what passes for music these days down, but we all know that will only last tonight. Tomorrow night it will be back up, I'll have to complain to management, they'll know it was me. I don't want to be that neighbor. So I left a nice, anonymous note instead. On pink paper with cute little blue woodland creatures.

Hi guys. Other people live in this building with you. Some of those people work at 6am distributing medications to sick people. If you keep your music down and the screaming to a minimum, you can do your part to help the economy by lowering the cost of health care through reduced medication errors. I'd hate to get the building management involved. Thanks!

It's a small fib. We all know I work at 7:30 or 8 or whatever, and not in a hospital. But, maybe it'll work? Who knows. If it doesn't, I can make a complaint. Maybe if I complain enough, something will get done. I might not be renewing my lease, but I still have to live here another 5 months.
